Since launching in 1964, Topman has become a major style authority. Capturing the zeitgeist every season, they exemplify up-to-the-minute affordable style, while their brave and irreverent approach has endeared fashion-conscious shoppers and industry icons alike.

An attitude that is accessible to all and a promise to always to be the first with new trends are the major drivers of their brand.

Topman is known for its range of denim, however, the online team struggled to sell as much product as the stores did. This was deduced to be due to the fits not being clear enough when customers could physically see or feel the products. This lead to the need for a ‘Denim Room’ that detailed the fits, washes and style of denim available at Topman.

London Men’s Collection started while I worked at Topman, and the team created a catwalk show for SS14 which the eCommerce team wanted to live stream. At the time this was very innovative technology, and it was viewed via the landing page I designed without a hitch.

Whilst working at Topman, I regularly created shoppable editorial features that would be linked from the homepage or the blog to help customers style their outfits. Each editorial had live text layered over the top of the design, with linkable areas mapped out over the design using a CMS called ECMC.
