5 things customers do that you need to know

Customers want the highest quality at the lowest price, right? Well, kind of! That stuff is important, however the quality vs. price method is not usually on the top of the customer's list of concerns, especially when it comes to selling B2B. Here are a few things you need to know about communicating with your customers!

1. PEOPLE PAY MORE FOR A GOOD STORY

Fact. Studies have been done that show a product sold without a story behind it will sell for a lower price than one with a story. This is because your customers are more invested, knowing that there is a meaning or purpose to your product, makes them more inclined to purchase.

2. HUMANS LIKE TO FEEL SEEN, HEARD AND UNDERSTOOD

If you are relatable to your target customer, they will feel aligned with your brand. Highlight and empathise with their pain points and show how you will make their lives easier in your marketing and sales process. This will secure a group of loyal customers.

3. CUSTOMERS ZONE OUT QUICKLY

Their attention span is getting shorter and shorter so we need to get visual queues to tell them that our brand is FOR THEM. Think imagery that tells a story, icons that direct them to the right places/pages and short sentences that sum up information.

4. MILLENNIALS AND GEN-Z OFTEN RESEARCH YOU BEFORE THEY SPEAK TO YOU

Whether they come to you by recommendation, via social or straight through Google, the chances are they have been positively impacted by your online presence. Being authentic and transparent is just as important as having a great product or service in today’s society.

5. REPETITION MEANS RECOGNITION

Customers take a while to recognise your brand, so put it everywhere you can. Your identity (logo, colour fonts and more) used on repeat will become associated with your brand and it’s aesthetic matched with your products, service and words will create perception of value.
